Seems like a Goldielocks hole, too short kicks you toward the water, too long brings the tree and fron right bunker into play, hit it where the dot is and it's "just-right". Why not move the tees up a bit and allow for more than 2% to be able to "roll-the-bones"? Since most guys trying for the "Big John" shot will probably slice it anyway, they will at least land in some fairway right and be able to turn to their mates and proclaim "planned it that way".
